Relevance
The relevance of mentions means what mentions match to your project and what mentions are not suitable.
Why is the relevance of mentions important
Search engines consider the relevance and quality of mentioned websites when determining its search rankings. Relevant mentions from high-quality sources can improve brand's visibility and authority.
Monitoring the relevance of brand's mentions and comparing it to competitors can provide insights into the brand's online presence and reputation within your industry.
What can impair your brand's reputation
All the unfair ways of promoting can harm reputation of your brand and lower its position in search engines.
We filter mentions what come from:
-
Doorways — pages contain low quality content and/or a large amount of keywords. These pages are created only for redirecting users to promoted sites.
-
Spam sites — pages that are created for manipulating search engine rankings, drive traffic, or promote products in an agressive way.
So you can analyse what percent of your brand's mentions are relevant.
How does it technically work
Collected keywords can be common words. A lot of words can mean different things depends on context. For example, if we found the word Subway
as a mention it can be:
-
A brand mention (
Subway as a restaurant
). -
A mention of a
subway station
. -
A mention of a game (
Subway Surfers
).
To prevent this, our specially trained model analyzes and filters all mentions and finds relevant and irrelevant.
So if you are looking for mentions of the Subway as a restaurant
, other mentions (subway station
and Subway surfers
) are marked as irrelevant.
And you can analyze only relevant mentions.
