Comparison
How it looks like in the Smelter.ai interface
On the Comparison page you can compare your brand with competitors' brands.
Your brand is chosen by default. To add competitor's brand, click + Add project, choose a brand from the dropdown list and clisk Save.
How to compare
Projects
You can compare projects and tags — together or separately.
To do this, click + Add to compare.
Your project will be chosen by default, you can't delete it.
To add a project that you want to compare with, click + Add another project to comparison and in the Project column choose the desired project from the dropdown list.
Tags
You can also compare by tags.
To do this, in the Tags column choose the desired tags for every project.
If there are no any selected tags, the whole project is compared. All tags in a single project are listed through the OR
operator.
Other actions: edit or delete
To edit a project, click + Add to compare and choose the desired project from the dropdown list.
To delete a project, click near the desired project.
To delete a tag, click x
near the desired tag.
Metrics
Summary
There are total Mentions, Authors, Engagement and Potential reach numbers of your and competitors' brands as a diagram.
You can choose the displaying as a percentage (%
) or as a total amount (#
).
Mentions, Potential reach and Engagement
These metrics are submitted as charts of your and competitors' brands.
By default all the chosen brands are enabled. To disable/enable any brand, click on it under the chart.
Sentiment over time
There are three charts — one per every sentiment: Positive, Negative and Neutral.

Share of voice
There is a digram of your and competitors' brands distribution for their share of voice.
By default all the chosen brands are enabled. To disable/enable any brand, click on it below the chart.
You can also choose which sentiments to display: All sentiments, Positive or Negative.

There are diagrams of sentiment distribution for your and competitors' brands.
By default all the chosen sentiments are enabled. To disable/enable any sentiment, click on it below the chart.
Geography
This section contains two tables: for countries and for regions.
You can compare a geography distribution for your and competitors' brands by a few metrics: Mentions, Potential reach, Engagement and Views.
Region distribution
The map is colored depending on a region's leader and in the distribution table region's leaders are highlighted.

Also there is a table below the map where you can find the actual numbers for every brand and region by metrics.
Age distribution
There is a table with one row per brand that shows the percent of every age range.
Income distribution
There is a table with one row per brand that shows the percent of every income range.

There are diagrams of sentiment distribution by income for your and competitors' brands.
By default all the chosen sentiments are enabled. To disable/enable any sentiment, click on it below the chart.
Top authors
You can compare authors who mentioned your brand and competitors' brands the most number of times.
A few metrics are available for comparison: Followers, Mentions, Potential reach, Engagement and Views.
Top sources
You can compare sources where your and competitors' brands were mentioned the most number of times.
