# Analytics

You can work with a real-time analytics on the **Analytics** page.

## General 

Here are a few metrics in a main chart:

* **Mentions** — all the common numbers for a desired period including total **Mentions**, **Authors**, **Engagement**, **NSR** and **Potential reach**.

* **Engagement** — shows how often users interact with your brand on social media and includes likes, comments and repost of mentions.

* **Authors** — the number of unique authors.

* **NSR** — the ratio of positive and negative mentions and shows the general sentiment of mentions.

* **Potential reach** — the total number of posts and comments in which the brand was mentioned and the total number of unique users who visit the source and can interact with posts.

* **Sentiment over time** — a chart of sentiments for a desired period. You can choose which sentiments are displayed. By default all the sentiments are enabled. To disable/enable any sentiment, click on it under the chart. 

* **Sentiment distribution** — a diagram that shows the percent of every sentiment.

* **Topics of mentions** — here are listed [all the topics](*even-one) in a tabular view.

## Words analysis

Here are a few metrics in this chart:

* **Word graph** — a visual presentation that displays the connection of the most relevant words for the project. How it works: here is a sample of words that are connected with each other and colored depends on their sentiment. 

* **Word cloud** — a visual presentation of the most widely used words.

* **Phrase cloud** — a visual presentation of the most widely used phrases (combinations of words).

* **Hashtag cloud** — a visual presentation of the most widely used hashtags.

## Audience

Here are a few metrics in this chart:

* **Age distribution** — a diagram that shows the number of mentions for every age range.

* **Gender distribution** — a diagram that shows the percent of every gender.

* **Income distribution** — a diagram that shows the number of mentions for every [income](https://help.smelter.ai/en/income.md) range.

* **Sentiment by income** — a diagram that shows the percent of every sentiment by [income](https://help.smelter.ai/en/income.md).

* **Geography** — here are listed [all the Countries and Regions](*even-one-two) in a tabular view. Includes a number of **Mentions**, **Potential reach**, **Views** and **Engagement**.

* **Region distribution** — the map is colored depending on a region's leader and in the distribution table region's leaders are highlighted.

* **Top authors** — here are a list of authors who mentioned your brand the most number of times. Includes a number of **Followers**, **Mentions**, **Potential reach**, **Views**, **Engagement** and **Sentiment**.

* **Top sources** — here are a list of sources where your brand was mentioned the most number of times. Includes a number of **Followers**, **Mentions**, **Potential reach**, **Views**, **Engagement** and **Sentiment**.

## Export report

You can download a full report as XLS, CSV or PDF. To do this, click **⬇ Export** button and choose **Mentions as XLS**, **Mentions as CSV** or **Mention analytics report as PDF**.

Also you can download reports for each metric individually. To download a report for a separate metric, click ![](_images/burger.png) and choose **Download PDF document**, **Download XLS** or **Download CSV**.
